Privacy Statement

The Digital Gateway Into Employment is part of the Digital Gateway into Employment programme. We take your privacy seriously.

What we collect

We collect the information you give when you sign in (email) and when you complete your profile (e.g. name, postcode, ethnicity). We also store your progress, quiz scores, and the content you save (e.g. CV drafts, job applications) so you can use the toolkit.

We log technical information about how you use the site (for example pages viewed, time spent on a module, and error messages) so that we can keep the service secure and improve it. This information is normally linked to your account rather than used to track you across other sites.

How we use it

We use your data to run the service, to improve it, and to produce anonymised reports for the programme. We also use some of your answers to power AI features that generate draft reflections or wording for you. We do not sell your data.

AI features are used to suggest wording based on what you type. The AI does not make decisions about you. You are always in control of what you submit to an employer or other organisation, and you can edit or ignore any suggestions.

Legal basis

We process your data so that we can provide this service to you (performance of a contract or legitimate interests, depending on how you access the programme), and to meet our reporting obligations to the organisations funding the programme. Where we rely on consent (for example, when you agree to use optional features), you can withdraw that consent at any time.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account details, progress and saved content for as long as the programme is running, or as long as needed so you can continue to use the toolkit. We may keep anonymised or aggregated information for longer so that we can report on and improve the service, but this will not identify you personally.

Who we share it with

We share information with service providers who help us run this site (for example Supabase for hosting and authentication, and our AI provider for generating draft text). These organisations are only allowed to use your data to provide services to us, not for their own marketing. We may also share anonymised and aggregated data with programme funders and delivery partners.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data. Contact your programme lead or the organisation running this toolkit.
